Ya, I felt the same about this. The HG/SS and B/W cartridges are slightly transparent black though. So, technically, Pokemon Black version is the only DS game cartridge to have the same treatment as the early games had. So, actually…most of the games are black cartridges.
Pearl - gray cartridge
Diamond - gray cartridge
HeartGold - black cartridge
SoulSilver - black cartridge
Black - black cartridge
White - black cartridge
P.S. If you’re thinking “the black cartridges aren’t transparent”. Yes they are, if you look VERY carefully. Get them under a bright light. ;)
